„haircut and art“ it says on the logo of aotu studio, an emerging artspace in Beixingxiao, in one of the hutongs between first and second ringroad.
haircut in reality was rather meant for those small, independent art spaces in the area. Many of them recently closed down due to the mechanics of severe gentrification – and governmentpressure – if not both of them.
studio aotu is an experiment, trying to fuse the economy of doing interesting hairdesign -and fuel another space with it to allow for art to take place.
